Product & camera motion

Show how a product opens, assembles and moves. Start from a one-click turntable or exploded view, then shape the timing with keys, curves and layered motion.

From quick spin to directed film

Motion plays live in the path-traced viewport, so you judge timing and lighting together.

One-click starting points

Turntable spins the view, Explode Assembly keys every part moving out from the centre, and Assemble plays the explode in reverse.

Procedural camera moves

Add a Turntable, Orbit, Dolly or Crane generator without placing keys, or use Create Flythrough to move between two cameras.

Keys for parts and cameras

Key Selected records position, rotation and scale. Camera keys cover orbit, target, focal length, aperture, focus distance, roll and lens shift, so a rack focus is as easy as a move.

Sheet, curves and easing

Work in Sheet, Curves or Split view. Apply Linear, ease in, ease out or Easy Ease, choose presets such as Elastic and Bounce, or type exact key values.

Layered motion effects

Stack Wiggle, Jitter, Drift, Wave, Pendulum, Squash & Stretch, Inertia, Bank to path and more over your keys for natural secondary motion.

Paths and loops

Edit and retime the motion path in the viewport, check spacing with onion skins, and loop or ping-pong a move beyond its last key.

Design example: a cordless drill reveal

A tool designer wants to show a drill’s battery release. They start with Explode Assembly, clear the keys on the other parts so only the battery pack and its latch move, and ease the latch with a Bounce preset so it settles believably. A Dolly generator pushes the camera in while a keyed focus distance racks from the chuck to the latch. A gentle Pendulum effect on the released battery adds a moment of weight before the camera holds.

How it works

  1. Start with Turntable, Explode Assembly or a camera generator.
  2. Key the parts and cameras that tell the story at the playhead.
  3. Refine timing in the sheet and curves, then add easing.
  4. Layer motion effects, preview live, and render the range.
