Click to aim
Select an environment light and click the product: it moves to the direction that puts its reflection under the cursor. Turn aiming off and drag the light across the environment instead, adding more lights wherever the form needs them.
Click the point on the product where you want a highlight, and the selected environment light moves so its reflection lands there. Then shape it until the form reads.
Designers judge a form by its reflections. Environment lighting in VIZid Next is built around placing those reflections deliberately on the product instead of rotating an image until something looks right.

Choose a rectangle, disc, umbrella or gradient shape, set width and height in degrees, intensity and colour (with colour temperature as the default picker), and lock lights you have finished with. Each light can be baked into the environment, a soft area source or a sharp distant light.
Begin with White Studio, Black Hero, Neutral Grey, Golden Hour, Midday or Overcast, load your own HDR or EXR image, or use Sun & Sky with sun elevation, direction and haze.
What lights the product and what the camera sees do not have to be the same image. Use a photographic backplate, a transparent background for compositing, or an AI-generated backdrop, while reflections and illumination still come from your environment. Rotate the environment and the background independently, and adjust brightness in multiples or stops, contrast, blur, saturation and hue. Colourise can tint the environment image toward a brand or mood colour.
A ground can catch shadows and occlusion under the product, reflect it with adjustable roughness, or be flattened so a product sits naturally on the floor of an HDR image. Saved environments keep a lighting setup, with all of its lights, ready to reuse.
Start from Black Hero. Click along the top edge of the aluminium body to place a long strip reflection, then click the curved grille to add a soft disc that describes its radius. A warm, narrow gradient light behind the product separates it from the dark background.
