Everything in one browser
Materials, colour palettes, environments, cameras, textures, backplates, models, measured materials, IES light profiles and primitives, in a folder tree beside a thumbnail grid you can resize to suit the task.
Keep the finishes, palettes, environments and cameras your studio relies on in one place, and drag them straight onto the product.
The library holds more than materials. It organises everything that makes up a presentation, so the house style is carried from product to product instead of being recreated each time.
Materials, colour palettes, environments, cameras, textures, backplates, models, measured materials, IES light profiles and primitives, in a folder tree beside a thumbnail grid you can resize to suit the task.
Drop a material or colour on a part in the viewport to apply it there. Drop an environment to relight the scene, a camera on the camera panel, or a colour on a swatch. Double-click or Apply to Selection works too.
Search by name, narrow the view with filters such as finish, and mark favourites for a favourites-only view. Favourites work on the built-in items as well as your own.
Create, rename and organise folders, starting with My Library. Save the material you have just refined straight into a folder, or save a copy of a built-in item and adapt it without touching the original. Import files, IES profiles and folders of scanned material maps. Material versions let you return to an earlier state of a finish, and textures, backplates and models can take a thumbnail from the current view.
Alongside the library, saved materials act as a personal collection available in every document on your machine, and the palette swatches give you a fast way to try colours before committing them.
A team designing small kitchen appliances keeps folders for approved plastics, brushed and painted metals, and their brand palette, plus the three environments and camera setups used in every presentation. A new concept is dressed in the house finishes by dragging from the library, and the look stays consistent across projects and designers’ scenes.
